The Technical Note starts by looking at the advantages of load pins as a direct replacement for clevis or pivot pins and their typical applications.
After this brief introduction, a General Description highlights how load pins are manufactured with inherent environmental protection and how they sense the force applied across it. (I am straining to avoid a Star Wars pun here!).
This is followed by a useful and illustrated description of typical locations and shows where LCM load pins can be installed to monitor load. Further technical drawings explain and show why and how locking systems are required and the importance of correct cable and connector arrangements.
A table is included that shows all our range of standard load pins within the range of 2.5 to 50 tonnes, with the proviso that not all pins match these exact dimensions and are therefore can be custom designed to suit a specific location and application.
